With everything going on in the world right now, the postal service is a little behind with their deliveries. So, while this card kit from Simon Says Stamp might not have arrived in January, I still wanted to make use of it. Even if I hold onto these cards until Christmas 2021, I can still play with the beautiful products.
For this card I start with some heavy weight blue cardstock, cut down to just smaller than an A2 card front. I used the fabulous snowflakes from the kit, called Snowflake Season, stamped them using embossing ink and heat embossed them in silver all over the front of the card.
Then I took my Niji Pearlescent Watercolors by Yasutomo (they’re quite inexpensive at Michaels) and coloured my snowflakes using different shades of white and blue.
I cut a circle from the silver holographic copper paper from the kit and cut the Eliza snowflake, also in the kit, from Stick-It paper. That allowed me to cover the die cut in some stunning blue Glitter Ritz glitter. I also glued a few extra snowflake die cuts together to give the snowflake some extra pop on the page.
I finished the card off with a simple seasonal sentiment embossed in silver.
