The New Year has brought some loss to friends and family. And, of course, when it happens crafting is often the furthest thing from my mind. So, for that reason, I always like to be prepared with a few sympathy cards in my stash. This way I can send notes of support and comfort to those in need quickly, and let them know we’re all thinking of them.
For this card I chose a simple blue marbled patterned paper in the background. I wanted to heat emboss this daisy silhouette stamp on vellum and heat emboss it in white. Unfortunately, I used a lower quality vellum and it buckled a bit with the heat embossing. I still think it makes for a pretty card though, so I decided to keep it and frame the vellum in a stitched rectangle frame.
