The Berry Wreath on Black Christmas Card

This die set may be a little time consuming to assemble, but so worth the result. I can see me revisiting this die set again and again for different holidays and different colour combinations.

For this card, I started with an embossed black card base, using the Simon Says Stamp Pinpoint Starlets embossing folder – it’s a beautiful folder. Then I used the Berry Wreath die set and cut all the leaves from two different colours of green cardstock. I cute the wreath base from gold, and then all the berries from red glitter cardstock. I assembled the wreath and added it to my base, but it needed a little something extra. So I die cut bells and a bow from a really old Sizzlits die. I think this is one of the first dies I ever owned – it came with my original Sizzix Sidekick which is the first die cut machine I ever owned. Talk about “throw back Thursday!”

Once the wreath was completed I just heat embossed a sentiment in gold on vellum for the center of my wreath and this card was done. Seriously impactful and a very different look from the white and silver card made using the same die.
