Antique Lamp Embossing Folder Christmas Card

I have to give credit to Caly Person for the beautiful card she made which served as the direct inspiration for my version. My colours are a bit more vivid because I used different colouring techniques, but the idea is much the same – and truthfully, with this embossing folder and matching die combo, that’s all you really need.

I ran two pieces of Strathmore Bristol Smooth White through the embossing folder. On the first panel I ink blended a few colours of Distress Oxide, working in a circular motion to keep a highlighted area right behind the candle. To re-emphasize the falling snow I used white acrylic paint and a small brush to just highlight the tops.

The second piece I used to die cut the lamp using the matching die. Then I used my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to colour in the die. For the snow layer, I cut those pieces using Sookwang double sided paper and then covered them with sparkling glitter.

This was so beautiful I didn’t even want to cover it up with a sentiment, so I left it sentiment free.
