Polar Bear Pals

These stamps from My Favorite Things are so darn cute, when I saw them for sale at a local scrapbook store yard sale I just had to have them!

This is another scene card, but this time created with a mixed bag of supplies. I started, of course, by stamping my cute little polar bears onto Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium White Cardstock and coloured them in using a combination of Spectrum Noir and Nuvo alcohol markers. Once they were finished, I fussy cut them out – HoneyBee scissors are great for fussy cutting.

Then I chose a nice teal blue patterned paper from the BoBunny Snowfall Collection for my background. On top of that I placed an array of birch tree dies that I cut using my Silhouette Cameo. I added a base for my critters using the Memory Box Stitched Curves dies and just built the background scene.

Once the main background was in place, I used foam squares in various sizes to build up my polar bear family. Then, to add a little something extra to my winter scene, I used the snowflakes that were left over from die cutting the Penny Black Snowflake Tree die and placed them randomly in the background. I added a thin stitched rectangle frame around the entire card, to give it the appearance of a photo.

Finishing this card up with one of the cute little sentiments from the same polar bear stamp set and this family was ready to send off to another family to wish them a Happy Holiday.
