I had visions of a nutcracker slimline card for the Holidays, so I checked out the Silhouette Cameo Design Studio library. I found a great design I really liked and set to work. I broke apart the design and cut the various parts out in different colour cardstocks. For other pieces I used my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers to colour them in.
The next part was actually kind of fun, layering all the pieces to create a completed nutcracker character for the front of my card.
I layered up my card base with a layer of black cardstock and then another layer of designer paper. Then I placed my nutcracker on the center of my card front. I added an extra touch by using Nuvo Crystal Drops in Bright Gold for buttons on his boots and epaulets.
