For those of you who get the band reference of the card name you get a gold star, even though it has nothing at all to do with the card. They happened to write one of my favourite songs though, so I couldn’t resist.
The shining gold star of this card is most definitely the Spellbinders Joy Etched Die. I cut this die out with several different glitter and foiled cardstock, and then mixed and matched the pieces to create three beautiful, sparkly, seasonal greetings. I also die cut several extra layers out of white/blue cardstock so I could stack the die cuts for extra dimension.
For the backgrounds, I took different cardstocks and ran them through my Stampin’ Up Pinewood Planks embossing folder. Then I added extra shimmer with glitter sprays or paint. A few sequins scattered across the front for even more sparkle and these cards were done.
I can foresee this die getting used a lot in my craft room for the Holidays. So many great options for colour combinations and pattern mixing and matching to create a bevy of fabulous cards!
