Here’s another Christmas Market paper card from this holiday season. I definitely got my moneys worth out of this fabulous collection. Carta Bella…if you’re ever in need of another design team member, I’m available! Just sayin’!
For this card I chose this beautiful black paper with bright red poinsettias all over it. I used that as my main background. On top of that I placed one of the many matching ephemera tags, which I stamped with a holiday sentiment from Stampin’ Up.
But the real focal point of this card is the layered poinsettia. For this, I used the Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia dies, edged ever so lightly with a slightly darker shade of Distress Ink to give them just a little shadow and dimension. I added a few Nuvo Crystal Drops in Bright Gold to the background and dropped a Recollections gold dot sticker in the middle of my layered poinsettia to add some shine.
I’ve used this die with cardstock in many different colours, as well as vellum, to make all different styles of Christmas card, from fun and festive to classic and elegant! I love being able to reuse supplies in my craft room from year to year with different results.
