Here’s another card inspired by a design I saw elsewhere. The original card, designed by Cindy Norberg, was posted on the Simon Says Stamp website as one of their inspiration pieces for their 2019 Limited Edition Holiday Card Kit, and you can view it here.
What caught my eye on Cindy’s card was the focal point, using stickers on a square or circular base, and then heavily relying on some great patterned papers. As you can see, I returned to my “go-to” paper collection for this year, the Christmas Market by Carta Bella. I chose two coordinating patterned papers as my main background. Then I pulled out the sticker sheet and really went crazy. I used one of the banner strips across the middle (the red and white snowflake pattern you see on the front), I used several different stickers for the circle focal point, and I pulled out the “merry” pennant stickers to use as part of my sentiment. I almost never use the sticker sheets with my patterned paper packs, but I think I’m going to have to start doing it more often!
For finishing touches, I added a few spins around the card front of bakers twine, and finished off my sentiment strip by embossing a part of a sentiment stamp from the My Favorite Things Bitty Holiday Wishes stamp set in white on red cardstock.
