I love Halloween. I love the time of year, the colours, the decorations, pumpkins and witches! And I clearly love Halloween paper, because I have a tonne of it. So feeling the need to put some of it to use, I created this fun treat!
Here is “Valentina” all decked out in her Halloween dress and ready to celebrate! I’m still experimenting with colouring the skin and hair for my Julie Nutting dolls. On this one I used regular coloured pencils with Inky Antics Gamsol Odourless Mineral Spirits. The idea is that you colour right on the doll and then, using a paper blending stump dipped in gamsol, you blend out the colour. The gamsol breaks down the wax of the coloured pencil leaving you just the colour pigment which you can then blend. It’s a bit time consuming, but gives you a lot of control over depth of colour.
