I love this Stampendous background stamp. It reminds me of grade school – crazy right? But every year at Halloween the teacher would play the Danse Macabre for music class and I still remember it.
I had used this Halloween stamp before, but this new project on the Stampendous website inspired me to try it with something new – Dylusions Ink Sprays.
The frame however, was a happy accident. I had the idea to use a Halloween frame die cut from my Silhouette Cameo rather than the torn paper window from the original layout. However, my blade must have been a little dull or my cardstock a bit too thick for such an intricate pattern at this size, because two attempts and I still couldn’t get a clean cut. Rather than throw away what I created, I decided to keep the etched version of the frame and use it. In the end, I think it gives an awesome effect to the card, with lots of spooky texture. Hooray for happy accidents!
