It took me a whole week to finish this card, and not because of the watercoloring, but because when I cut down the floral image to a strip to fit on my card front I thought I had ruined it. The stamp is both wider and taller than shown here, but I really had a 50/50 horizontal split design in mind and thought it would work. When I cut the image down to size I almost threw it away. My husband convinced me to try and use it, so I did. In the end I actually quite like the card.
I painted the image using my Karin Brushmarkers – I love these things. I used some Strathmore Toned Tan watercolor cardstock, embossed my image in gold, and then watercolored it. A little splatter on top, cut down to size, and then it was just assembling the card.
