It took me a long time to finally find the right card kit subscription for me, but I took the plunge with the Simon Says Stamp card kit, and this is my first special delivery.
First I covered a standard A2 kraft card base with one of the patterned papers from the card kit. This paper is designed by P13 and is called The Four Seasons Autumn. It’s a beautiful mix of fall colours and patterns – great for sending notes at this time of year.
Then I took a piece of the Dark Chocolate cardstock from the kit and stamped the main floral image from the kit in Versamark across the center. I decided to pull out a supply I had bought quite some time ago and never used – my Perfect Pearls by Ranger. I sprinkled the Perfect Pearls on the newly stamped image and gently brushed away the excess with a dry brush. I won’t lie – it took me about 4 times to get a good impression that I was happy with. I ended up making two versions of this card, just so the stamped images didn’t go to waste!
Once stamps, I decided to edge the panel with a thin strip of gold glitter. I did my second version in orange glitter, which is also quite nice.
Finally, I took one of the sentiment strips that also come in the kit and inked it with Stampin’ Up Peach Parfait ink. Then I foiled it with the gold foil and my Minc machine. I placed my sentiment strip right in the middle and called this card done.
