This layout is going back a while. This is one of the first Halloween’s where my son really understood the whole concept of going door to door and collecting treats. His little Penguin costume was just too adorable and kept him nice and warm on our chilly Halloween nights. Such fun moments to capture in a scrapbook layout.
For this layout I used several different patterned papers from the K&Company Halloween Whimsy collection. I layered them to create a strip across a 2-page layout that would serve as my photo area. I used the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch along the bottom, and the Martha Stewart Halloween Iron Fence punch along the top. I stamped a few spider webs in the background from the Inkadinkado All Hallows Eve stamp set, and then layered all my cute photos on some Bazzill cardstock mats.
Once all the photos were in place, I jazzed the layout up a bit with some embellishments the I cut out using my Making Memories Slice machine – the die cut machine I used before I moved up to a Silhouette Cameo. I also used my Slice machine to cut out the title, along with some Stampin’ Up chipboard letters covered in Martha Stewart glitter.
One of my favourite parts of this layout though, is the little pumpkin in the bottom right corner. Lifting up the pumpkin lid will pull out the journaling for this layout. I cut out his basic shape using my Slice, but then drew elements on by hand. I added a few spots of green stickles on as well, because who doesn’t love a bit of glitter?
