A Country Style Christmas Card

From the moment I saw the beautiful, large sentiments from the stamp set in the December 2022 card kit, I knew I wanted to make them the focus of a card. Now typically, because I live on the East Coast of Canada, my Christmas card kits rarely make it to me in time to use for the Holidays in the year they’re issues, so I just hang onto them until the next Christmas season.

I knew I wanted to use kraft cardstock for this card, and a nice gingham or plaid patterned paper. I also wanted to use stitching, but since I don’t own a sewing machine anymore, I use stitching stamps instead. Then I added the large Seasons’ Greetings sentiment, which I embossed in red glitter embossing powder and a little white paint splatter and voila – a very country Christmas style card, which is exactly what I was aiming for. I love it.
