Are you a Hallmark Holiday Movie fan? If so, you’ll really appreciate this card.
I can picture the scene now, city girl arrives in the small town, snow gently falling. She goes to get a Christmas tree to decorate the family homestead she hasn’t visited in 10 years, where she meets handsome man in a plaid flannel shirt who offers to deliver her Christmas tree personally in his shiny vintage pick-up.
This card relies heavily on the Carta Bella Christmas Market paper line. I started with an ink blend background using various shades of Distress Ink and Distress Oxides. Then I splattered it with some white acrylic paint to create the falling snow scene.
Then I used the Memory Box Stitched Curves dies to cut out some snowy hills. I did my little blue edge sponging and then a layer of crystal glitter on top to give it that sparking snow feeling.
With my background pretty much complete, all I had left was to build the scene. I cut the street lamp out of one of the patterned paper designs, and then used the accompanying sticker sheet to apply the wreath, tree, and truck. Finally, I heat embossed a traditional Christmas sentiment at the top.
Now grab your cocoa and snuggly blanket and go enjoy a Hallmark Holiday special of your own!
