Home for the Holidays

I set a goal for myself this year for Holiday cards, and that was to revisit supplies I’ve had for a while and try to use them again. This Stampin’ Up! set was just the ticket to help me achieve that goal.

This stamp set, titled Christmas Lodge, was originally released in the 2011-2012 Holiday mini catalog. I didn’t use it much then either, so I really wanted to make sure it saw some ink this year. I decided to stamp it on beige cardstock in a sepia ink and then apply some distress inks around the edge. Paired up with the strip of green plaid paper and kraft cardstock base and this card really has a Hallmark TV Christmas special feel. You can bet this house has a huge Christmas tree in the parlour, decorated with hundreds of little white lights and Victorian ornaments.
