Christmas Candles

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas folks, and you know what that means – Christmas Cards!

I decided to brush the dust off a few supplies that haven’t seen daylight in quite some time. For this card I pulled out some outline peel-off stickers from Elizabeth Craft Designs. First I pulled out some Sookwang Double Sided Tape and placed my stickers on the exposed sticky side. Then I covered the Sookwang (and candle stickers) in Glitter Ritz Cool Highlight glitter. Then I used some watercolours to add some subtle shading and highlights to each candle. Then I fussy cut them out and set them aside.

For the card shown above, I cut a panel of designer paper from Graphic 45 and placed it on my card base. Then I cut a small top panel using the stitched rectangle dies. I adhered my three green shaded candles onto my rectangle panel, and then stamped it with a sentiment from the My Favorite Things Bitty Holiday Wishes stamp set.

I made an additional version of this card using purple tones, shown here:

For this card, instead of a panel of designer paper, I ran a piece of metallic thick foil through a Darice embossing folder.

And one of the best things about these cards is, while they have a lot of texture and layers, they will still mail really well.
