The end of the summer is always a busy time at our house. Not only are we doing all the back to school shopping for clothes, school supplies, shoes, and everything in between, but we’re also trying to squeeze as many family adventure days in the last super hot summer days left-over.
Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately for me), not all those last 2 weeks of summer were nice, and the few rain days in the mix allowed me to get a little craft time in. My son asked for a new bookmark this year, as the old one I made him was getting a little ratty! I decided to make a few and let him choose his favourite.
I received my August 2021 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit at the end of August, so I decided to use these really cute images for one bookmark. I was determined to make a one layer bookmark so I could run it through my minc machine with a laminating sheet. So, with a bunch of masking, stenciling, blending, and colouring, this is what I arrived at.
I think he’s totally adorable AND laminated to boot – which means he might last a little longer than some of my previous, yet well loved bookmarks.
