I was inspired to make this card after watching a technique video by the fabulous Kristina Werner. Here is her original card, although you will see mine is quite different. I liked the idea of using unconventional glitter colours on snowflake dies, so I wanted to give it a try using my own colours and dies.
First, I started with some watercolour cardstock and, using some pearlescent watercolours that have a subtle sparkle to them, I created a watercolour background.
Then, I dug through all my dies and pulled out all the snowflake dies I could find. Using Be Creative/Sookwang double sided sheets, I cut out a bunch of dies and coated them with blue and brown glitter from Martha Stewart. I wasn’t sure the brown was going to work, but it really does.
Then I just applied my dies to the card. I didn’t pop and layer my dies like Kristina did, because I wanted them to go through the mail easier. Here’s a closer look at the glittery snowflakes.

Finally I applied a few rhinestones and my Winter Wonderland sentiment in the corner and this card was ready for postage.
