I made this card for the BoBunny April 2019 Card Sketch challenge posted on Facebook. I absolutely love BoBunny paper, so the real challenge was picking the paper line I was going to use. In the end I decided to make a Mother’s Day card using the Enchanted Garden paper line. The bright green and lavender shades of this collection are really stunning.
I started with the tag first – I wanted to stamp a flower on a book print paper and colour it with Spectrum Noir markers. Then I had to figure out all the different patterned papers I was going to use and for which layers. That always takes me such a long time until I finally say to myself “cut the paper – just do it” and then it all seems to come together! I clearly have a mental block about wasting paper because I never want to cut it – this would explain why I have so many paper stacks still untouched. New goal: use the paper!
Most of the stamps I used for this card are from Simon Says Stamp. They have stunning products, not just stamps, and they come out with releases every few months that seriously make me giddy with excitement to get my hands on them. The flower on this card arrived in my mailbox just this week, so I’m so happy it arrived in time to use on this card.
