These Doodle-Pop stickers from Doodlebug Designs are just too cute. I mean just look at all those happy little popcorn faces!
I wanted to create a special birthday card for my son, and one of his favourite snacks is buttery, salty popcorn. Now, in September of 2018 I was the lucky winner of the Simon Says Stamp limited edition card kit for Stamptember. It was a kit filled with goodies, literally! Stamps featuring yummy goodies, all kinds of sprinkle stickers and papers from Doodlebug Designs featuring candy and critters – it was just fun in a box. And one of the items were these Doodle-Pop stickers. I had originally been saving them for a scrapbook layout, but when I was searching through my stash looking for inspiration for this years’ birthday card, I saw these and knew they would be perfect.
A few layers of cardstock, a big sentiment cut from my Silhouette Cameo and stacked for extra dimension, and a quick sentiment strip printed using my ink jet printer and I had all the pieces I needed to put this together.
I started with my black card base and cut a circle from my white, slightly smaller panel, using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle dies. I glued my 3 layers of “Happy Birthday” together after I cut each out with my Cameo and mounted that at the bottom of the card. I put down my Doodle-Pop right in the middle of the circle window cut-out and then added my sentiment strip. He loved it!
Happy Birthday to the best thing I ever made!
