Honey Bee Winter Village Christmas Card

This die set is definitely not for the faint at heart. There are so many little pieces, but when assembled they make the most amazing village – and I can really think of ways to use this die set all year round.

I, of course, started with the dies. After mapping out what cardstock I wanted to use for all my pieces, I cut them out. I wanted to go with a silver and white colour scheme for this card, so figuring out the different papers was important. To help make all/mostly white cards pop, it helps to use different white cardstocks with different finishes. Some of these are glitter, some velvet, some fabric, and some plain. But the cardstock helps give definition to each layer of the dies.

I had a bit of a hard time deciding on the background for my card base. In the end, I settled on a frosted vellum that features white snowflakes. I love how it turned out.
