This card started with a sentiment. A project I saw on Pinterest at Halloween last year used the sentiment, but the card was just a hand drawn image on the front. Because the sentiment made me laugh so much I knew I wanted to try and create a card with it for this year.
I cut the big ghost out using my Silhouette Cameo. To go with the sentiment I gave him a nice glass of wine using a Stampin’ Up! stamp and my Spectrum Noir markers.
Then I pulled out a well used and well loved Halloween paper pack from Recollections called Haunted.

I made the shaker card using a bunch of foam tape and some chunky glitter from Creatology. For the front panel of my card, I gave it a little extra visual interest and texture by using the Tim Holtz Cobweb background stamp, embossed with clear embossing powder on black cardstock.
In the end I absolutely loved how this card turned out. Shaker cards are a new technique for me but I learn something new with each one, and they’re so much fun I’m sure you’ll see more.
