I always loved the colour combinations in this paper line from BoBunny, but I always struggled a bit when trying to use them for Christmas cards. As it turns out though, they’re perfect for winter sentiments! I can just imagine all the winter fun this card suggests – building snowmen, winter forts, snowball fights, not to mention skiing, skating, snow shoeing, and so much more.
I started with a great horizontal stripe background which features all the fun colours of this paper line. The coordinating sticker sheet included a row of “tickets” for winter fun. I used these to create a kind of border along the right edge of my card front.
Using the Small Snowflakes dies from Impression Obsession, I cut several flakes out of white cardstock. I glued the duplicates together to create a thick die cuts for the front, and then I covered the top most snowflake with crystal white micro fine glitter. This added some beautiful sparkle.
I cut a thin sentiment strip from the Simon Says Stamp Everything Winter sentiment strips. I ran it through my Minc machine with a piece of teal foil. It didn’t quite foil as well as I was hoping, but it was enough to give a pretty team glimmer that catches the light.
Finally, I mounted all the snowflakes and my sentiment strip on my card front. I hope this brings it’s recipient some warmth in this long, cold winter season.
