Happy Howloween
Cards, Halloween Cards

Happy H”owl”oween

These cute little characters were hidden among a bag of miscellaneous ephemera I picked up at a scrapbook supply yard sale. I’ve had them for a while, but decided to try and clean out some “older” supplies that I’ve been hoarding forever. I also got to use some new supplies, like my Lawn Fawn reverse scallop square dies.

I wanted to create a slimline card using these frames, so I grabbed a piece of black cardstock, worked out the math, and figured out where I needed to cut my frames. Once that was done, I was able to cut both the background designer paper, and the designer paper layer for the top. I adhered all of those layers together and then placed them on a black slimline card base.

I needed something for my little Halloween hooters to sit on in their windows, so I pulled out my Inkadinkado Delicate Branches stamp set, stamped and fussy cut out a few branches. Then I tucked them into the frames and placed my owls on top. I finished off with a quick sentiment strip cut from patterned paper and a sprinkling of black gems for a bit of sparkle.

Now these three little trick or treaters are ready to head out on Halloween night!
