It’s been an incredibly busy summer and I have not been super productive in the craft room of late, but I did get to enjoy lots of sunshine and quality family time. That said, with autumn comes back to school and a return to a fairly regular schedule, so there will be many new projects to share in the next few weeks.
To start us off, here is a birthday card I made for one of my son’s friends.
I started with some heavy weight navy cardstock and stamped the Simon Says Stamp Center Cut Geometric Pattern in Versamark Ink, removing the center circle. Then I heat embossed the design with light blue embossing powder. Then I stamped the center circle of the same stamp in the middle using Versamark Ink again, this time embossing it with white embossing powder.
I turned to my Silhouette Cameo to cut the word Dude, and also cut a separate shadow piece for behind it. I stamped a small Happy Birthday sentiment and made it into a banner, added a few sequins and voila. Simple yet stunning.
