Dreamcatcher Bookmark

Every year for Valentine’s Day I make my son a set of bookmarks, usually several different designs, to give to his friends and classmates, in lieu of candy or the valentines you get at the store and end up throwing away. I figure, if I can make something useful and re-usable, then I can put a little star in my sustainability column.

For this bookmark I had the crazy idea to make a shaker – but I couldn’t make it to thick or it kind of defeats the purpose and functionality of being a bookmark. So I created a thin shaker by stacking three dreamcatcher dies together with a piece of acetate between the top and second layer. Then I filled it with sparkly gold stars. Here’s a close up:

Not a huge shaker impact, but enough to make it fun for the recipient I hope.
