I had a vision in my head of a card that didn’t translate fully to paper as I expected. But, that’s the nature of creativity, sometimes it works out fabulously, sometimes it veers off in a different direction and you can either discard it or roll with it to see where it takes you. This is one of those projects.
I wanted to create a simple A2 card using the Stampin’ Up Cheers to You stamp set, and some fun blended circle backgrounds. However, when I did my measuring, I realized I wouldn’t be able to fit all the blended circles in one row without them overlapping, which I didn’t want. So I decided to off set them on the card front.
I used a simple paper circle mask to blend out my Distress and Distress Oxide ink circles. I then stamped and coloured my cocktails in fun, bright, summer colours and fussy cut them out. I adhered them onto each of the circles and then used the greeting from the same stamp set.
A quick and simple card to celebrate summer.
