I was anxiously awaiting my December 2020 (yes, you read that correctly) Simon Says Stamp card kit, because I wanted to get my hands on the sentiment stamps included in the kit. Unfortunately, it didn’t arrive in time to use for Christmas 2020, so I held onto this idea for a whole year! I had some paper I had been hoarding for years…seriously, it’s been in my stash for at least 4 years – and when I saw these large sentiment stamps I thought they would be perfectly paired with this paper.
I took advantage of the slimline card size and cut full card front panels from the paper, which features these vibrant blue Christmas ornaments. I stamped the sentiments using embossing ink, and then heat embossed them in Ranger Cobalt embossing powder. It was a perfect blue match. I also took some of the snowflake stamps from the January card kit and heat embossed them in Stampendous Hologram embossing powder. They’re subtle, but offer some added visual interest and a little bit of extra sparkle!
I adhered the panel to the front of a slimline card base and then added a few star shaped gems. They too are a bit holographic, so some shine white and others have a bit of a blue tinge to them.
My Mom has already laid claim to these for her mailing list. Good thing I start making cards early!
