This cute little Twilight inspired layout has a lot of great features, from the hanging teardrop pearls, the lilac stickers, the tag and of course the replica invitation from the movie.
I created this layout for the July 2012 Sketch Challenge over at Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine.
Sometimes when you have an idea you have to go searching for photos to use that will fit with that idea. In this case it was the drop down pearls swinging from a cardstock punched border. I thought they would look best on a wedding layout, and none of my own wedding photos really fit my needs, so I decided to use some photos of Edward & Bella, and that gave direction to the rest of the layout.
It was also my first try at a tag. I used a number of different stamps, glimmer mists, inks and techniques to try and produce something that fit. In the end, I think it worked out well, but I’m still trying to grasp the style that suits the tags and glimmer mist the most.
The best part of this layout though, is the invitation/envelope in the corner. I actually found a picture of the wedding invite they used in the movie, so I sized it down, printed it off, and formatted it a bit to create a realistic looking invitation. By opening up the envelope you can pull it out to read, and it serves as the journal block for the layout as well.
