After having used a few of the pre-made sympathy cards from my stash in early 2021, I thought I should make a few more to hold onto.
Here I took a piece of Strathmore Bristol cardstock, it’s the best cardstock I’ve found for doing ink blending. I pulled out my Distress Inks and Distress Oxides and did a sunset blend using Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, and Barn Door. Over that I took a piece of black Bazzil cardstock and cut the birch tree silhouette using the Birch Column die from Simon Says Stamp.
Finally, I used the Simon Says Stamp Thinking of You die to cut a sentiment. I cut it twice from black cardstock and once from Tim Holtz Metallic gold cardstock. I layered these three dies on top of one another, with the gold layer on top, and adhered it to the bottom of my card front.
