This is another card inspired by Nichol Spohr – I really do love her cards. This is her original design for comparison – and of course to give credit where credit is due. I just really loved the scarecrow and stalks of corn in the background. But, as usual, I didn’t have the exact stamps or dies that she used. So… I improvised with the stamps I did have, which is the Brutus Munroe Scare Crows stamp set.
I stamped and coloured my images, then fussy cut them out. To make them blend more with the background, I also coloured around the edges with a marker matching closely to the Distress Oxide inks I used in the blended background. I love how this one turned out.
