I really wanted to try creating a unique card fold using a fancy border edge, but I didn’t have a nested die or border punch that would do exactly what I wanted.
My goal was to use two complimentary paper patterns on each side of a “flap-fold” card, and then have the patterned paper offset from the cardstock edge with the same cut pattern. I decided to try editing and adjusting a border pattern from the Silhouette Cameo Store and use it to just cut one edge of a piece of paper or cardstock. A few trial and error cuts to perfect the design and voila – a successful border edge. The great thing about the Cameo is I am able to save the design for future use on cards of all kinds! I can’t tell you how much I love this die cutting machine.
