Poinsettia Paper Edger Christmas Card

It’s rather apt that this paper collection is made by Simple Stories, because simple was the name of the game for this card.

I have so much fabulous Christmas paper and I really wanted to put some of it to use. So I challenged myself to make some cards this year that really made paper the focus. For this card, I cut out the poinsettia designs featured on one particular patterned paper and overlayed it onto another patterned background paper. I added a sentiment embellishment from the same collection and a few sequins. Simple, elegant and so lovely. A great design for folks just getting started with cardmaking – you just need some paper and embellishments from the same paper collection and maybe a few sequins, beads or nuvo drops.
