I’ve been seeing a lot of cards made with cover plates and inlaid pieces of different colours, so I wanted to give it a try. I don’t have many cover plate dies so I pulled out one of the few in my stash, Simon Says Stamp Folk Art.
I wanted to make a fun spring/summer colour palette card, so I chose some lovely pastel colours from my paper stash. It took a while, as I struggled a bit to get a good cut. I think I need to play more with my Big Shot sandwich and get some extra pressure in there for this particular die.
Once the background was assembled, I just added a sentiment on top, jazzing it up with a few die cuts and a little bit of ribbon. Simple and fun.
