Apparently ink blending is trending high for me this Halloween season, because I’ve done it on every card. That said, the Halloween colour palette is perfect for backgrounds – be it orange, purple, green or a traditional blue night sky – they all work great for Halloween cards.
I had picked up this silhouette stamp set from Simon Says Stamp/CZ Design on sale last year after Halloween. It’s great for making simple yet impactful Halloween cards.
Again, I started with the background using Distress Oxides in various greens, reserving of course a big moon area in the middle. For this card I used the AlteNew To the Moon stamp set to get some layers on my moon in the background.
Then I just stamped my witch silhouette and sentiment right over top in Memento Tuxedo Black. I created a few mat layers with cardstock to help the green really pop, but in the end it’s a perfect one layer card for mailing.
