The Simon Says Stamp frenchies have returned in this birthday card. I pulled out the Chillin’ Frenchies stamp set because, let’s face it, no one can get enough of that cuteness!
I was inspired by this card by Emma Williams which you can view over on her blog That’s Life. I loved how she used the Simon Says Stamp Filigree Message Circle in the background behind her little dog character. I took that same idea but made the card my own with different colours and patterned papers, different embellishments, etc. Because this was a masculine card, I decided to distress it a bit with vintage photo distress ink and the Prima Marketing distress tool.
I also made this card a different size than I normally do. This is a 5×7 card, which makes for a really substantial art area on the front. Great for doing multiple layers like this.
