I was inspired by these fabulous Halloween cards made by Yana Smakula using the Spellbinders Beautiful Wreaths collection. I didn’t have all the same supplies, but I did my best at making it work with what I had. Fortunately, I had purchased several of the Spellbinders die sets during a previous sale!
I started with the background, stamping the Tim Holtz Cobwebs background with embossing ink and then coating it with black sparkle embossing powder. For my card, I really wanted to mirror the dead tree branch look Yana had created on her cards, so I used a mix of black and grey branch dies. Once I got the wreath shape and fullness, I just added various other die cut elements as decorations. Some of the dies came from other Spellbinders die sets, but they all go together really well to make the wreath. I also added a few sequins and a great sentiment from the Tim Holtz Monstrous stamp set that went so well with the wreath.
