I was inspired to make this card by a series of cards made by Jennifer McGuire. You can see her original video here. I had the same Memory Box Country Church Frame die that Jennifer used in her video, but I didn’t want to replicate her background technique completely. Instead, I used the Outline Snowflakes background die and embossed it on some watercolour paper – one in silver and one in white.
For the white embossed background, I pulled out my Dylusions Ink Sprays and used them like watercolours to blend a background. For the silver embossed background I used Artists’ Loft iridescent watercolours to create a full sparkle watercolour background.
Once the backgrounds were painted and dried, I cut several versions of the Memory Box die out in white, stacked and glued them together, to create a nice sturdy frame. Then I adhered them onto the watercolour background, trimmed it down to a 4″ square card, and adhered it onto a heavy weight white card base. Here’s a close-up:

I didn’t think I needed to add a sentiment, as this card says “winter season” with no words at all!
