Today my Grandmother turned 100 years old. We had a special family gathering for her at a local restaurant, and it was a wonderful chance to see everyone gathered together to celebrate her big day!
To commemorate this special occasion I wanted to make a special card, so I had splurged and ordered this absolutely stunningly detailed stamp from Power Poppy a few months before. I’m glad I did in the end because the first stamp I got was defective and wouldn’t leave an impression right in the center of the flower. I must say, the Power Poppy customer service was amazing and they sent me out a replacement right away.
The focal point of this card is all about the Lily, so I stamped it on some Spectrum Noir smooth cardstock, coloured it in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, and then fussy cut it out. Then I built up the card layers and adhered my flower to the bottom right corner, leaving enough room for a sentiment and some pink and green sequins. So beautiful!
Supplies:
Cardstock – Bazzill and Spectrum Noir
Stamp – Power Poppy Tiger Lily XL and Stampin’ Up! Well Scripted
Ink – Memento
Spectrum Noir Markers
Sequins – Recollections
