You know, in the creative process, not everything goes according to plan. The May 2021 card kit from Simon Says Stamp featured all of these great dandelion images, and I decided to try pairing it up with this cool paper from the DCWV Serenity Stack which also featured dandelion images. How perfect a match could that be right?
Well…the large graphic design on the paper would have been completely unrecognizable on a standard A2 card, so I decided on a slimline. I stamped my image on a matching piece of cardstock and layered up all the pieces. But, it was too much of the burnt orange. I tried breaking up the background with that black diagonal stripe accent, but I’m not sure that helped much.
In the end, it’s not my favourite piece I’ve ever made, but I decided to share it anyway!
