Spooky Haunted House Halloween Card

Happy Halloween Everyone! This haunted house was a labour of love. It took me some time to get everything the way I wanted and put it all together, but once it was done, amazing impact.

I started with a simple halloween colour blended background, making sure to leave room for a nice big yellow moon in the top corner.

Then I used the Simon Says Stamp Halloween House embossing folder and cutting dies. I cut a few layers in black for behind the house and then, for the top layer, I ran it through the matching embossing folder to bring out all the details and texture. I used a mix of alcohol markers and distress inks to add colour and shading to the house.

On the background, I added a few bats and gravestone stamps to give the house a ground and add some visual interest in the background. These were from the Waffle Flower Postage Collage Spooktacular set.

Finally, when the house was added to the card, I felt it was missing something. So I took the ghost and pumpkin dies from the Halloween House die set. I cut the ghosts from vellum and layered them on top and then just coloured in the pumpkins and set them on the doorstep.

I love how this card turned out!
