Floral Spray

Sometimes it’s hard to come up with unique layout ideas for cards when you only have a 4 x 5.25 canvas to work on. When I need inspiration, I often look to pinterest, which is where I found a unique card layout made by Heike Hulle-Bolze. You can find her website at http://papier-kult.de/. While her site is in German, there is a translation option available!

She had done a really cool diagonal cut effect on her card front that resembled rays. So I decided to try a version using the supplies I had. This card features a very small bit of the Botanical Garden patterned paper, in behind the “ray” cut out. At the point of the ray, I used the two-step stamping set Build a Blossom from Stampin’ Up and the coordinating punch.

I added one of the small circular stickers from the paper collection kit as my flower center. All that was left was to add a sentiment and a few iridescent sequins. Simple yet stunning.
