Okay, truth is, my husband did have another word for this card – “grandmother”.
I admit, it’s a little antique and old fashioned. But I have three grandmothers in my family, one who is quickly approaching her 102nd birthday, so I’m sure I can find someone to appreciate it’s vintage style!
Again, this card made full use of the coordinating embellishments package by using one of the circular elements as the focal point of the card. I also put to use one of the border strips that came in the paper collection kit – and I often don’t use those!
I chose two matching patterned papers and then carefully cut out a series of circles using the Creative Memories Cutting System circle templates. These tools make cutting nested circles so easy if you don’t have matching circle dies that fit your needs.
I added a few die cut vines from Cheery Lynn’s Fanciful Flourish because I thought the card needed just a little extra decoration. But I didn’t want to add to much because the patterns themselves are quite bold.
