The summer is filled with birthdays for our family – August in particular. This card started with the idea for the shaker window and grew from there. I really enjoy making these smaller shaker elements as stand alone pieces that I then attach to a card, rather than trying to make a whole card a shaker. Those always cause me trouble, so these smaller shaker bits are so much easier to control – and if it doesn’t turn out I can always discard the idea.
